A Path

A path flowing with ice.
To a place where no one knows—
it can be filled with dice.
A roll that will never show.
At the bottom, it can be filled with rocks.
To a depth that never ends.
Like a treasure chest with a series of locks—
that will never break or mend.
Waves that never seem to have an end.
To the rocky shores at life’s end.
A sand bar shown from afar.
To a path flowing with ice.
