Cut Down
I'm being cut down,
From the podium I once stood proudly on.
By the ones afraid of my controlling realistic way of thinking.
They cut me down because they know who I really am,
A rebellious saint.
Giving the less powerful the voice they've needed,
Bringing down the mighty and powerful to their rightful place.
I'm being removed like a child from school because of my "contagious disease"
Infecting their children with the freedom of thought and voice.
Infecting them with the plague of reality.
But my voice only grows the more they try to cut me down.
They will never win,
Because I've already freed myself from those who try to cut me down.
Society.
