The weary king sits alone in his dining hall.
No music.
He is someone so broken.
He is writing his final request for a hallelujah.

Time has ruined him.
She destroyed his kingdom,
Leaving only an old man.
Not even the holy ghost is with him.

He cries, asks for a
Hallelujah.
But no one notices
The King with the cracked crown.

Hallelujah
He whispers sadly.
But he doesn't mean it.
How could he?

The handicapped king
Lives in darkness.
Waiting
For the God Above to bring him a hallelujah.

As he begs,
His voice fades.
Hallelujah.
Hallelujah.

I listened to the song "Hallelujah" on repeat. The line about the King really stuck with me.
