We can never obtain peace in the outer world until we make peace with ourselves.-Dalai Lama

What is love?
Well God is love.
Filling people with a heart
An organ that beats.
Boom Boom Boom
Heart that feels
Burns for passion heart that breaks in millions of pieces,
Then becomes whole again
What is love?
To get married to bore kids?
To not be an old cat lady?
For sexual desire?
For money?
What is love?
When he presses his soft lips against your cheek.
When your heart skips a beat
When he makes you come undone
When you can’t help, but to smile at him.
What is love?
When you fall flat on your a** on the black hard concrete
Blinking frantically
Asking the million stars in the sky “What happened?”
You stay there like a rock waiting to be skipped into the river falling into the shame of the lake,
Wanting to cry
But you can’t
Because your ego is too big.
Wanting to hate him.
But you’re in too deep.
Loathing yourself because
You love him
Is that love?
The waiting
The wanting
The desire
The falling
Falling into his arms
Yet again
What is love?
Loving him so much it hurts you
Wanting that thrill in your life
Needing him
Not letting go, because if you let go
You’re lost
He’s lost
A lost soul
A lost cause
Love?
It surrounds us all in different ways
It can be sweet
Can be passionate
Can be poetic or dangerous
What is love?
When he surrounds your life all around
When he makes you smile frequently
Makes you whole
You can’t let go
He’s your best friend
Your lifeline…
When you face the world with him with strength not looking back into the past.
You only see the future
That is love.
