“If you're losing your soul and you know it, then you've still got a soul left to lose”
― Charles Bukowski

I'm drowning
In unspoken thoughts
And
Dying
For
The
Libel
But I can't find
Equilibrium
Among my regrets and
My sorrows,
If
They
Even
Ever
Even
Out
Because even my sorrows
Have regrets,
And my regrets sorrows,
So
I
Feed
The
Monster.

First dentistry was painless.
Then bicycles were chainless,
Carriages were horseless,
And many laws enforceless.

Next cookery was fireless,
Telegraphy was wireless,
Cigars were nicotineless,
And coffee caffeineless.

Soon oranges were seedless,
The putting green was weedless,
The college boy was hatless,
The proper diet fatless.

New motor roads are dustless,
The latest steel is rustless,
Our tennis courts are sodless,
Our new religion — godless.

the last line reminds me of a song by Red called "Feed the Machine." i think it holds similar meaning as this poem. at least it does in the sense that i interpreted it.     i feel like that made no sense at allXD
