"Humankind cannot stand too much of reality."
-T.S. Eliot

The light was so close I could almost feel its radiance
I touched the walls to reassure myself of the surroundings
It was so pure
So true

It would take a master to make such foul tricks
A master it was
For, when I reached the outskirts it continued to glow
It baffled the eye;
there was no exit in the labyrinth.

He professed it to be the labyrinth of life
I thought I could strive
Fight his cruelty and start afresh
His words were like lullabies

He went farther away
The light no longer as bright
A fray
Between the darkness and the light

It was engulfed
With it the strength to love
To feel

The cold once again played with her tears
The hear t slowed to an inaudible sound
She was bound once again
To the ever changing labyrinth
The labyrinth of life

It's just the difficulty of life that inspires these poems. Confused friendships and understanding myself really brought me to write this.
