The Traveler MAG
I gather my strewn clothes
and fold them into piles
packing to return
to the place I was born.
While thinking of my mother,
bustling in the kitchen
in an apron dusted with flour
and hair smelling of spice,
I imagine my father
sitting in his chair
with his puzzles unsolved
and books waiting to be read.
Both are in a world
sheltered and calm
A world I call home.
