To and Fro and Back Again
The game begins
And he makes great strides and spins.
He doesn't know that we're playing though,
But deep down inside I know that he knows.
I increase my speed,
But he's always in the lead.
I make sincere efforts to win this game,
And he has yet to realize what exactly is my aim.
We move in sync.
To and fro, along the ice rink.
It's as though we are dancing,
But whenever I so much as start advancing,
He quickens in speed
And I am left here to concede.
