Goody-Two Shoes
We are goody-two shoes
We are preppy, peppy, and perfect
In the eyes of our peers that is all they see
We are goody-two shoes
We are chained to the name “teacher’s pet”
We are the “pets” that everyone secretly despises
We are goody-two shoes
Our voices are annoying as nails on a chalkboard
They are filled with happiness that at times we fake though you would never know when
We are goody-two shoes
We dress as perfectly as we can
You can hear our dress shoes click and clack down the hallways
We are goody-two shoes
We raise our hands millions of times during class
We strive to be right; to be perfect; to be liked
We are goody-two shoes
We spend our Fridays nights at home but not at our choosing
We are attached to the name “tattle tale”
We are goody-two shoes
We hide our flaws and wrong doings to keep from being hurt
We are ignored for trying to follow rules that society and elders have set
We are goody-two shoes
We will be nice to those who you consider as outsiders
Because you consider us as outsiders
We are goody-two shoes
You see us as preppy, peppy, and perfect
We see us as just people
