Dream big, because inspiration, like fire, spreads rapidly. - Me

I wake up in the morning and think, “today’s going to be a good day,”
Then I get to school and feel like matter, as if I don’t,
Like I just take up her space and I’m not worthy of seeing her face,
I feel like my heart is a suspension, big enough to be seen,
But like a colloid, it won’t settle, not for anyone less than her,
I’d like to think we had a heterogenous relationship, but the more I think about it,
I realize we’re different, yet I still dream,
Dream that someday we will have a homogenous relationship,
That we can relate in some way, but I quickly wake up,
I wake up on the right side of the wrong bed,
To the reality of life not always having a happy ending,
She has hundreds of elements chasing after her,
All so determined, unable to be broken down and crushed,
This discourages people like me, the solute, the minor in the mix,
Sometimes I try to eradicate my feelings for her, make like a solvent and disappear, never to be felt again,
To numb myself until I feel good enough to be like a compound and find a special element,
A time when love is more intense, where our hearts can be treated like a mixture and combine,
Where I can grow up and evolve into a father and be a solution, by giving my kids attention equally,
Until then, I guess I’ll just have to fall asleep, and see how I feel in the morning,
I can already tell, it’s going to be a good day.

This is a poem I made for Chemistry, I had to use some of the vocabulary words, while still talking about something I care about.
