Turning Tides
November 2, 2013
Moonlight glistened within the sea,
Illuminating breaking waves upon the shore.
My senses rendered helpless as my
Body is absorbed into the ocean.
Water creeps around my ankles,
My sides, until it barely brushes against
My shoulder blades. The tide washes
Away the worries of tomorrow and
The regrets of the past.
The sea submerges me, flowing
Above my head and through my thoughts.
All that remains is the
Calm movement of a current;
The thump of a beating heart.
