Running, running
Trying to escape fears clutch.
Running, but it still gets us.
Fear has a cold touch.
It doesn’t care how much about it we cuss.

Running from fear like we are lost.
But we soon will be found.
It comes like winters cold frost-
seeking you out like a blood hound.

Running- but it will find you.
You can’t escape it-
it will come like the devil’s flu.
It feels like hard grit.

No matter how fast you run.
No matter how much you try to hide.
Fear will conquer you without a gun.
It doesn’t care how many tears you have cried.
Running, running- you can’t out run fear.

It is weird what can inspire you! I came up with the idea to write this poem by seeing a girl run to her car at school. (No, she wasn't running from something or someone) It then took me about less then two days to write it.
