Poison

Your knives cut my skin.
Glinting in the face of the flames,
you outline my face with the trickle of my own blood.

My lips are inseparable.
You've sewn them together with a thread of your lies,
And now my words can't save me.

Your poison pulses through me.
Like angry, black smoke it runs through my veins and burns!
The pain simmers on my boiling skin.

My heart is my enemy.
It burns in the dampness of my body cool,
and you are the igniter.

The pain is unconquerable.
I cut, pull, tear, at my heart;
Anything to get it out of me!
It's a killer, and you are it's leader.

I rip it out and throw it at your feet,
where it belongs.
Dropping your weapons, you pick it up and walk away.
So do I.

I sort of scared myself with this poem. It is so dark!

You can be beautiful on the outside.. But if you have an ugly heart, you're ugly.

This is awesome, it gives you a clear picture of what you want to say and what you want everyone to know and gives such a good invision of your feelings. This is a very good peice keep up the good work.
