Sitting in the Sand
I see you sitting in the sand,
I wish I could extend my hand,
And pick you up from your despair,
but happiness, you won’t let me share,
to gently place inside your soul,
and fill you up, up as a whole,
and show you who you really are,
unique and bright, a shining star,
I wish I could open your eyes,
and help you see past your mind’s disguise,
and lead you down the better path,
and make you smile, shine, and laugh,
and show you what’s inside your heart,
create a new beginning, a new start,
But here you sit staring straight ahead,
so I sit next to you, instead.
so here we sit, hand in hand,
sitting together, in the sand.
