Words.
That's all they are.
If there's no soul behind it,
That's all they ever will be.
Simple sound waves fleeing from the air
Can only do so much.
Words are the expression of our feelings.
Why waste them?
We only get so many in a lifetime.
The world tells us that they are for free,
But are they really?
People steal them and warp them.
And when they are false
That makes them lies.
Lie are not free.

I love this so much! I especially think the last line has a lot of impact.

Sir, I admit your general rule
That every poet is a fool;
But you yourself may serve to show it
That every fool is not a poet.

I love your poem! It's not worth lying to the people in our lives, especially our loved ones.
