Someone preach me a religion,
A dilapidated vision,
A pathetic convolution,
I need some faith now.


I need a God,
Need a father,
Someone to raise me above the gutter.
I need a God,
Need a friend,
Someone to drink with in the end.


Someone teach me a religion,
A related competition,
A benevolent addiction,
I need some faith now.


I need a God,
Need a teacher,
Someone to make my thoughts matter.
I need a God,
I need you,
Someone to tell me all the truth.


I need some faith now.

Wow! Thanks! I'm actually not very religious, this was just an idea that popped into my head when I started to think about those in need. I'd absolutely love it if this made it into the magazine. :)

huh. I really like this. im not big into religion, much less people trying to impose their religions onto me, but i can fully and truly understand the desire to have something to hold onto, and i get why people have religions, even if i dont really seem to. does that make sense? anyhow, i love the way you wrote this, and i think it deserves a spot in the magazine. :) nice job.
