Share Pain

If it makes you feel better
you can slit my skin
with words so sharp
and horrible
You can watch as blood
trickles down my arms,
sobs escape my lips,
and tears fill me eyes
You can fire your arsenal at me
until my body’s filled with your words
and I crumple quickly
to the ground
You can do all of this,
and who knows?
Maybe it will feel great
Maybe it will make you feel amazing
But I honestly think
that you only feel good
inflicting pain on others
for a short while
