This summer I was fourteen
Sunscreen covers my tan wet skin,
I said to myself "let the summer begin."
Fun long nights always up until two,
Sitting watching as the summer grew.
School coming soon, not wanting to end,
Hoping and waiting for it to suspend.
Humid and sticky all day long,
Here in summer is where I belong.
