worthless
He’s lying beside me
A little couch that lets our foreheads touch
He laughs
I laugh
We joke about a thousand things that sound stupid
To everyone else.
And the girl he likes more than me
is lying down on the floor
saying she feels horrid.
Like nothing.
I tell her she is so much more because she is
so much more.
And he tells her she is more
because she is more.
And she is more than I will ever be.
In size-
She is less, and therefore more.
I am more, therefore less.
In mind-
She is older, therefore more.
I am younger, and worse, therefore less.
I am nothing to compare to her.
But I laugh.
And I smile.
Because she is nice and I like her.
And I laugh
And I smile.
Because he is sweet and
Cute and
Funny and
He makes me feel worthwhile
Until she appears and speaks once more.
Then they make me feel
worthless.
