A Weakened Love
What am I afraid of?
Love?
You?
The fact that you are willing to love me?
My darling,
I give love,
But I cannot take love.
It is an award
I always decline.
I wish I could show you,
That I really do care,
But even in front of the ones I trust,
I hide.
Like a little girl hiding behind her father from a stranger.
But you are not a stranger to my heart.
You are welcomed,
Just be warned they will be hostile in there.
They will scold you,
And gossip,
But I know you won't believe them.
Because you believe in me.
Something I never could do.
