An Ode to a Crush
Do you know what you do to me?
My words become muddled, my palms sweaty.
You make my heart race, my head spin.
It's because if you that I'm attacked by butterflies everyday.
Because of you that I can no longer think straight.
Questions cloud my mind at night:
Do you feel the same way?
Am I more than a friend?
Or am I just another girl?
Another face in the hallways?
Your sharp green eyes
Piercing the heart of any girl,
So why would you choose me?
A nobody.
I could forget about you.
Stop trying.
But what if...
What if you felt the same.
What if you were more than..
A crush.
