Snowy Angels

Angels lying on the ground
Angels sleeping, safe and sound
Angels with no place to go
Angels imprinted in snow
Falling into angels’ arms,
Swept away by snowy charms
I could rest for just a while,
Mimicking their sleeping style
Fold my arms over my chest
Waiting, the thing I do best
Snowflakes fall onto my eye,
Clouding my view of the sky
Wings invisible to you
Spread and take me somewhere new
Never feeling so alive,
I’ll soar through the sky and thrive
