"heaven's not a place that you go when you die. it's that feeling in time when you feel alive."

It's 9 p.m. here and it's raining and i'm
thinking i should be where you are,
driving around in your used Honda,
aimless,
doing anything, really, as long
as you're by my side, arm
'round my waist.

it's 6 a.m. and i'm up readying
myself for school. i'm really
missing you, and i'm thinking i should be catching the bus that
takes me to your school, where you'll be waiting with a wide smile in the courtyard.

it's december the 25th, and i was gathered around the tree opening
gifts with my family earlier; but while half of me was present; laughing and bonding, the other half was thinking that you should've been sat next to me, handing me my gift from you.

distance isn't fair but i don't think it realizes that even with 3,752 miles, 6038.3 kilometers between us, our bond is unbreakable.

and even 67 hours apart, you are the thoughts that wonder through my brain. and i want you to know that i'd be willing to go through all those 4,020 minutes if it meant being caught in your embrace, even if it were to take me 3 days straight to get to you.

and i'm thinking that i should be where my heart lies...

and that is with you.

At the time that I wrote this poem, I'd met a boy who I would only be seeing for two months before leaving back home...for all the people in long distance relationships, don't quit. Because love knows no boundaries.
