What if I said that the world was going to end within an hour?
Would you believe me?
Would you run to your girlfriend, kiss her, and tell her that you love her just one more time?
Would you give to the poor?
Or just ignore them, and spat in their faces to get a life?

What if the world of today never existed?
What would you do?
What if you never had the right to live?
Never had the chance to even catch just a small glimpse of this world.
Didn’t even have a chance to try to do your part in changing this wretched world.
Would anyone ever notice?
Hell no they wouldn’t.
All the desks are filled at the end of the day.
It don’t matter- you would just be another mouth to feed.

What if it did matter?
It does.
Every day, way are losing more:
Knowledge that could have been gained, more talent.
All to make this world a little bit better.
But no, those chances are now gone.

What if there was war at the time of peace and peace at the time of war?
What if there was ever world peace?
Could that ever happen?
People will always have disagreements.

What if there was never hunger between all people?
Would things be any different?
Would the rich folk change their lives in any way?

What if you, me could never say that we were ever free.
How would our life be?

What if I told you that the world was going to end within and hour?
What would you do?

These are some of the questions that I sometimes would like to ask the people of this day-in age. Some of the questions are ones that some people are working on answering. Others, not many people think about as they go about their day to day lives. What would your answers to some of these questions be?

smile through everything no matter how bad it gets because it could be worse and if it gets worse well then it can only get better. :)

i enjoy how this poem makes me think outside of how i normally would. it challenges simple things in our lives that we tend to take for granted, our freedom being one of them. Good job!
