You are not just another face in the crowd.
There is greatness in you.
You are remembered for things you don’t even think about.

You are not just another name.
There is richness in your touch.
With your two hands, you have the ability to make a difference in this poor world.

You’re footsteps don’t just make any other path.
There is adventure in your life.
You are much more capable of spreading love than you even think you are.

You are not anonymous.
There is power in your heart.
With just a little bit of effort, you’re life can be transformed in ways unimaginable

For anybody out there who doesn't think there's much worth to them, I just want you to know that you are beautiful. You are a star. You are capable of doing so much and right now you can choose to turn your life around. You can choose to do something big, something that nobody else thought you could do. Don't let foolish people discourage you, you're better than that. You were born with greatness in you.

You have no idea how much that means to me, that's exactly what I was going for and I'm glad it inspired you :)

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant,
gorgeous, handsome, talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us.
It is not just in some; it is in everyone.

And, as we let our own light shine, we consciously give
other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our fear,
our presence automatically liberates others."
Marianne Williamson

My response was similar to sarah98 :). I have an opportunity and this poem perfectly describes what got me there. It is very inspiring. Thank you. However, in my opinion the image accompanying this poem should be something more general than the American flag-that way it not only relates to America and Americans- but people all over the world. It could be a flower, or a peace sign, or a person jumping and down for joy, etc. :)

It is better to write for yourself and have no audience than write for your audience and have no self.
