Carry Me Through
I carry myself with head held high, unknowing
Of what is to come
The future so shaky, unstable,
It scares me
People look at me
They see, they judge
But the scars on my wrists are just this
A representation of who I am and who I was
I carry myself with my shoulders back
I don’t let myself hide within me
Let it fly at me with unnerving speed, but please
Don’t let life be easy
I walk through the streets with my eyes wide
Open, even though I do not see
I carry myself day by day, night by night
Not understanding, just living
Breathing
