winter

my eyes open with the first snowfall
and the first thing i smell
is winter and coldness and mornings
and i can hardly contain my excitement
my mind opens when i move my legs
so i never stop walking
and it seems like
i am lost forever
my heart opens when i lay down in the snow
and i close my eyes
and i feel heavy
and i cant see
my eyes open when you call me home
