Stuck inside the box of my life
Watching desperately the outside world
Needing to leave, my cage growing smaller
But too afraid to move anywhere
Never able to run through the meadows
With the sun shining in my hair
Smelling the cool wind teasing
With the birds flying overhead
No, I’m trapped in my prison
Tears falling like rose petals to the floor
Glass hiding away all my misery
Hidden beneath the smile from the picture frame
