Achromatic
The black room took us like a cave.
It wasn’t white like everyone said it would be.
There was no tunnel
or even a door,
just an endless room with paper walls
and blinding silence.
And the worst part wasn’t the deafening emptiness
or the pressure of nonexistence,
but rather
the lack of light.
For what is the moon
if you can’t see the sun?
