A Tear Rose in Squalor

Soft gardens proffered bloom
Cracked twigs lay in squalor

As the tea roses sway,
[hither to my ego.]

Soft stems bending with
Southern winds and wild
Colors yelling at hopeful
Visitors.

Small fingers wielding heavy power
A death rattle with a lust
For beauty

Profaned as unspoken
Prisoners death awaits
At a rising toll in
Soft summer breezes.
