Onto the next great adventure

I relaxed in my seat
And let my skin play with sunlight coming through the window
it was good day
But she was in the hall
I had no work today
my mind as free as it was before there was such things as mechanics or electric circuits or the elongation of concrete and steel
i was catatonic in my peace
eyes glazed and awareness hazy
But she was in the hall
Almost another face in the crowd
Yet strangely Perfect
On a pedestal
i struggle under the weight of the bar
Pain shooting through my body
And pleasure shooting through my system
Addicted to the transformation from boy
To machine
And the admiring glances
And the beat of metal plates clinking with every motion
The pump is perfect
yet she was in the hall
with a smile that hits you like a slap in the face
Every mistake you make engraved on every perfect feature
her eyes and her smile and her wild as anything, free flow, wavelike hair
And metal stops being alive in your hands
and just cuts
She was just in the hallway
College girl on break
Visting her roots
And the sun dimmed
the metal silenced
the work pressed down
and the word just hung in the air
hi
