Demons
We were born with them but they’re not manifested then
Only when you get older do they show
Things we don’t want to admit to anyone
Demons that consume your every waking thought
Making it hard to live the normal life you want
It was never fun, it was pure hell
You try everything in your power to stop, but it never helps
You find that one thing that seems to help
But it only makes them stronger
Staying up all night trying to smile for the next day
When all you want to do is curl into a ball and cry
No one will ever know that you’re trying with all your might
Because you know you can’t trust them
So your life is in the hands of your demons
