It seems we make promises to ourselves
At our weakest points
I promised to hit the gym
As I inhaled a pink glazed donut
With little white sprinkles dancing in a mocking laughter
At the corner of my mouth
I promised myself I would eliminate you from my
Progressively bleaker and bleaker life
As I watched you creep out of my bed
My covers filled with
The ghosts of what you said
Needless to say,
I broke both promises
