Red Balloon

Swiftly slipping out of the gentle grasp of a small child,
A red balloon drifts up into a sea of white cotton balls.
Its scarlet skin reflects the sorrow of something lost,
And the exciting prospect of a new adventure.
As the lone red blot ascends into the heavens,
It contemplates its sky blue future.
