Well recently I have seen,

The truth and all the honesty

on everything for you and me.

I shouldn’t be sitting ‘round here,

Saying you’re nothing,

Sitting ‘round here cursing your name,

I should be thanking you for everything you ever did,

For if you didn’t I might not be with him.

If you hadn’t told me that you loved me,

If you hadn’t broken my heart,

I wouldn’t ever be looking for someone else,

I'd have never stumbled upon him.

So I thank you for breaking my heart,

Thank you for giving me a start,

Thanks for the check of reality,

Thank you for making it so he could be with me.

Thank you for telling me the truth,

‘Cause if you didn’t,

I might still be with you



If you had never told me how you felt,

I might still be by your side,

Begging for some help,
