Who am I to you?
I am invisible
I've cared for you
more than I'd like to admit.
You've not given me any reason to continue caring.
I've given you the ability to break me,
Yet you don't even notice.
And so...
You have broken me
I shall give up on you.
I'll move on and give my care to someone who will notice.
I'll give the ability to break me to someone who will know and strive not to.
I will be invisible no longer.
You were my friend, and you still are.
But you will cease to be anything more.
After all,
if I am nothing more to you,
Why should you be anything more to me?
So, even as I care for you as a friend,
I shall strive to forget the care I felt for you when I allowed you to break me.
