The wave
Finally
Beating the sand of the beach
Washing away the footprints
dragged
and tugged
Back to sea.
Where it realizes,
after all this time,
having dreamt of the shore
and the sand
and the soft footprints
and the seashells,
It was real.
But it is just another wave.
And that moment,
on the shore,
was no more than
nothing.
And this is too big of a sea
For you
to ever
be with
me
