I am Nothing
Nothing. I am nothing. Nothing but a caged bird with clipped wings and too afraid to sing. For fear that the effort would fill my heart with love, and the feeling, that passion of singing,of freeing, would burst my heart. And doubt would enter through my vessels to my brain. Poisoning it, filling me with bitterness. And the expectation of pain. This is how I saw letting down my walls. But they've been torn down, broken down, shattered now. And hope has showed it's magnificent, hideously glorious head. A bittersweet feeling, a tingling, freezing, devastatingly happy feeling. And, in spite of being nothing but a caged bird, with clipped wings, I may allow myself to sing.
