Lost within the shadows of your ignorace

I am lost within the shadows of your ignorance
Not to say I haven’t put myself there
Without their protection your beauty might burn me
For I have longed to let my heart take me into your blinding light
Yet I am afraid it might be returned covered in the tears of shadow and gloom
For what if it isn’t accepted as how I want to be
So I’ll stay in the cold embrace of these shadows,
Taking care not to stumble
Until you shine your blinding light unto me
