face down in the dirt

When he told me he loved me
I happened to have believed him
now I'm lying on the floor
face down in the dirt
because what he said he didn't mean
he shoved me down in to the dirt
picked me up only to
drop me again
and make me land face down
in the dirt
with my heart on my sleeve
