What I would do to have the courage of a lion
To stand up for my herd
To put my life on the line
But it’s not easy being a lion
What I would do to have the buoyancy of a glacier
To float above the storms of life
To bounce back up when pushed underneath
But it’s not easy being a glacier
What I would do to have the resiliency of an ant
To be so small and yet so big
To change the world one breadcrumb at a time
But it’s not easy being an ant
Maybe, if I could be like these things
Then she would be holding my hand
She would be reading my notes
She would be smelling my flowers
But instead, she’s smelling his
