Don’t cry, my child, sleep tonight,
Embrace the holy lore.
Give the world the love it needs
Now and forever more.
Please don’t cry, I need your strength,
With your father gone to war.
Just promise me that you will hope
And dream that you will soar.

This is a poem that refers to the sadness a family feels as one is set off to war. I made this as an intro into my novel, which I'll post soon. Eyes open, folks!
