On the brink
On the cusp
Eyes flutter, fall, and stare
Gentle breath
Stilling fear
of the world that’s gathered there

Down we’ll go
Dropping fast
to the teasing, grand abyss
So alone.
In the crowd
all awaiting their eclipse

Can we shine?
So alone?
In this violent sea of light?
On the brink
On the cusp
Take the plunge and we just might

I really like the repition of the first lines in the end!  Great mood, I enjoyed the poem very much.

Cool brevity.
