Wings

There once was girl who thought she could fly,
So one day she took to the sky,
And for a little while she soared above,
Those thoughtless girls who knew no love,
But soon there spite became to great,
For there hearts were filled with needless hate,
so they ripped her wings and let her drop,
She begged and begged for them to stop,
But they sI'mply turned there heads around,
As the poor girl raced straight towards the ground,
And when she hit the earth so hard,
she broke into a thousand shards,
So i have have spent a hundred years,
I have drowned in countless tears,
to find a girl once so great,
I only pray I'm not to late
