Denial

denial...
easy to come by,
easy to follow.
a girl has been caught.
tortured again and again,
denial won't help her agony,
blistering pain only soothed by the truth
she can't admit what she doesn't know...
denial poisons her mind,
the truth evades her, impossible to find.
realization hits like sweet salvation.
a new pain awakens,
she finds heartbreak...
as his eyes caught her.
