Lost Girl
She sits in the quiet, in the dark underground
Her mind on the outskirts, a distant ghost town
A life was once hers, it didn’t play out
The demons, the shadows, her heart wants to shout
“Why do you do this?” She hears no reply
Is no one there…….hopes still staked high?
“I do this for torture, for fun, it’s for me
It’s a game, laugh at your treasure, you see?
What is yours is all mine, you never get past
Your life is an object, a thing doesn’t last
Your pain is my pleasure; your wish is a joke
The fun isn’t over until one final choke
A corner is distant as far as she knows
Sitting in silence, a withered black rose
The ribbon is torn, the petals askew
Thinking all along, “I wanted you”
With her regret, came sorrowful tears
Still never knowing, who after years…..
The shadows take over, a screech is sent out
The darkness turns darker, a cry full of doubt
“Someone please help me” A whimper of dread
Things that were broken, things left unsaid
She was taken from earth, pulled into her mind
Into her fears, with love, left behind.
