What’s love supposed to feel like?
So many people say the word everyday,
But how do they mean it?
How do they know?

People have told me that they love me in the past,
But they all left me feeling unwanted.

I’m afraid to fall again,
You didn’t catch me last time
I was left broken.

But you’re back now,
And I want to trust you,
After all this is the first time you’ve stayed this long.

When I’m with you, I feel like I’m flying,
I can’t help but smile.
Every time I look in your eyes I get butterflies.
I’m all shaken up inside.
Is this how it feels?

What is love?

You say it!
You tell me I’m worth it to you.
Do you mean what you say?

You look me in the eye when you say it,
So I assume that it’s true.

Maybe this time it’s different.

I look in your eyes,
With a slight smile on my face,
I grab your hand and whisper,

“I love you too…”

In this moment, everything is perfect.
Maybe I finally figured out what love is…
