i am a collection of memories
with a scattered chorus of hellos and goodbyes
forever wishing to forget
i am my mother's daughter and my father's eternal child
trying to keep the photo frame from breaking
forever wishing to forget
i am the tears of a generation
who can't remember how the sadness came anymore
forever wishing to forget
i am a medley of words, thoughts, ideas
but how do you define a person who can't grasp onto definition
forever burdened with regret
