Why did this happen?
I walk to school in my small, blood red
dress while a bag in hand.
I see my two best friends, they were in
their blue dresses and a
backpack in hand.
I smile at them while walking to my little class.
My brother is in there reading his book
and staring up at me.
Pow! Bang! Scream! As I hear these noises,
all I can do is watch the people
running and getting shot. I see my first friend
get shot as the blood gushed out.
I started to cry as my best friend hit the
ground. I could only stay under
the desk. I’m only 7-years old and
seeing this terror around me.
As my brother gets shot, I finally stood up
waiting to see how hurt he was...
Bang! I scream in pain as I see the world
flash around me. The world goes black.
As I wake up, a picture of my family and friends
flash at me. I see a bright light
coming towards me and all I could do is
watch it as it whispered, “Come
young child. I’ve been waiting...” As I follow
this light, my brother and friends are waving at me.
I smile and start to cry.
“Young child, you are safe from
harm and you will watch over your family.”
I see a hand pull me up to this white
place and this is my final life. Ending at seven
as a small angel.
Now, I watch over my family cry at the
scary sight of the shooting.
I miss them but I will always be with
them as a guardian angel.
