The Gorgon

These day I feel
tarnish and ruined
as if I was the harlot
the one whom threw herself at the feet of the lion
The forceful monster once enticed her
forceful grip
on a hand that easily followed
straight to the fate that was deserved
She could have loved the creature that destroyed her,
made her into the gorgon
the ugly creature with stone-like eyes
She could have lingered
waiting for his heart to change
to love
instead of ruin
However not all things can be so great.
